Gold Party– Stafford, PA June 16, 2008

I’m still waiting on the pictures from the phenomenal gold party held this week at The Finer Things In Life in Satfford, PA. The gold party was hosted by Nell Phillips and catered by my husband’s company (South Jersey Caterers).
Surprisingly, a journalist from Philadelphia magazine showed up for the scoop. I think she left with a much different perspective of a gold party than what she came in with. First of all, gold parties are classy. It’s not some conartist trying to make a buck. Its a respectable jewler buying old gold on your terms. Simple.
Actually, I had to laugh because she made a comment to the effect that she was watching the “desparate housewives” sell off their jewlery from divorces, ex boyfriends and the like. And while that was true to an extent, the night really was alot of fun. Margaritas were flowing and so was the cash. Everyone made out really well from what I observed, and most ended up using their cash at the upscale boutique when they were done!

For anyone living in the Philadelphia Metro area, we invite you to participate in a “Cash for Gold” charity on June 21, 2008 between 12-4 at McGee Rehabilitation Center in Philadelphia, PA. This charity will benefit a minister and father of 5 who was paralyzed in a near fatal car accident last November. In his absence, his church (Liberty Tabernacle Family Worship Center) has fallen on hard times and is now unable to pay for his health insurance. To make matters worse, he waived his right as a minister to receive SSI disability benefits–which makes him an unlikely candidate for any government assistance.
How to Participate:
The great part about this charity is you will MAKE money from helping someone in need! Just bring your old or broken gold & silver items to the 6th floor conference room at McGee Rehab between 12 and 4. A licensed gemologist from Jeweler’srow in Philadelphia will be there with cash on hand to buy your old gold and silver for full value. Any amount of old gold or silver will do, including mismatched 18k earnings from stores like Piercing Pagota or broken jewelry.
After you are paid for your gold or silver, the merchandise will be taken to a refinery and melted down for a profit. 10% of the proceeds will be donated to Liberty Tabernacle Family Worship Center to cover Pastor Medina’s health care and possibly pull his home out of active foreclosure.
Why You Should Help
Pastor Raul Medina has served the Camden, Trenton and Philadelphia inner-cities faithfully for the past 20 years. His team took to streets in some of the worst neighborhoods in the tri-state area to not only preach the gospel, but offer food and shelter to those in need. He would personally take recovering addicts into his home that had nowhere else to go, in which he would find them employment and shelter to help them get their lives back on track. He was available 24/7 for anyone in need–sometimes at the expense of his own health or family.
Pastor Medina was also the major breadwinner for his family of 7. He owned a tree company with my husband that went under following his accident. Now the church is unable to provide him a salary–leaving him with virtually no income to pay the bills. His youngest son also has special needs and can not afford to be kicked off of his father’s health insurance plan. He sees a neurologist every few months and takes a variety of expensive medication to control his behavior. Clearly, your participation in this event will help him save his house, insurance, dignity and self-respect as a man and a father.
We hope to see you at the event. Should you have any additional questions or are unable to attend but would like to donate anyway, please email me at ambuler09@yahoo.com.
Thanks and hope to see you there!

We are excited to report that McGee Rehab in Philadelphia has given us a tentative date to host a charity Cash for Gold party for Rev. Raul Medina! Pastor Medina was paralayzed in November after a near fatal car accident in New Jersey. We are shooting for the 3rd Saturday in June (the 21st) to host the event. The public will be permitted to bring any unwanted gold, silver, coins, etc. to the lobby of McGee rehab where a licensed gemologist from Jewelers Row in Philadelphia will be paying out cash on the spot.
Rev. Medina’s Finanical Situation
Pastor Medina and my husband had a tree business together (Perfect Works, LLC), but the equipment was sold to pay Pastor Medina’s medical bills and other expenses. Unfortunately, his house in Mt. Laurel is $30,000 behind and in active foreclosure. Pastor Medina also has 5 children, and one of those children has special needs. Because he is a minister and waived his right to SSI benefits, his wife is simply unable to take care of their children and pay the bills. They are in danger of losing everything and desparately need our help!
Where you come in!
We understand money is tight for everyone, so this is a way to MAKE MONEY and GIVE TO CHARITY at the same time! When you bring your old, unwanted or broken gold or silver to McGee Rehab, you will be given the full value for these items in cash on the spot. Any amount of metal is acceptable to participate and people are making hundreds to thousands of dollars just by showing up with their mismatched earings or junk!
After the event, the gold is taken to a refinery and melted down where it is then sold at a profit to jewlers throughout the area. 10% of the proceeds will be donated to Pastor Raul for his finanical needs. With your help and enough old gold, we have the ability to raise thousands of dollars to pull Pastor Raul’s house back out of forclosure
